Edna Ruth Lawson Wilkerson, 94 of Stevenson, AL, died December 21, 2012 at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation in Bridgeport, AL. Edna was the daughter of the late Lester and Martha Green Lawson born March 1, 1918 in Fackler, AL. She had worked as a winder at Avondale Mills in the Mary Ann Plant for 35 years. She loved gardening, working in the yard and visiting with neighbors and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, George Elbert "Jam Up" Wilkerson.
Edna is survived by her son Julian G. (Sandy) Wilkerson of Alabaster, AL and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will begin at 12 noon and Funeral will be at 2 PM CT on Sunday, December 23, at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson. Interment will be at the Pinehave Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, AL. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
