Edward "Goat" Raulston's Obituary
Edward Phillip “Goat” Raulston, age 93 of Bridgeport passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Mr. Raulston was born April 26, 1926 in West Palm Beach, Florida to the late Mr. and Mrs. William Edgar and Dannie Kate Phillips Raulston. He was a graduate of Bridgeport High School class of 1945 and three years later on July 21, 1948 married Ms. Georgia Lucille Sexton. Mr. Raulston was a member of the US Army serving in Korea during World War II. After returning from the Army, Goat went to work for TVA and retired as Coal Handling Foreman.
Visitation will be at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport on Tuesday, November 5th from 11-2:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 5th beginning at 2:00PM in the chapel of Rudder Funeral Home, Bridgeport with Billy Watkins officiating with burial to follow in Rocky Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Raulston is survived by his wife Georgia Lucille Sexton Raulston of Bridgeport; children Sandra (Kenneth) Pippenger of Tullahoma, TN and Steven Douglas Raulston of Bridgeport; Grandchildren Keith (Karrie) Pippenger, Kent (Jill) Pippenger, John Edward Raulston, Catherine Grace Raulston; Great Grandchildren, Gracie Olivia Pippenger, Cade Pippenger, Cole Pippenger, Tinsley Pippenger, Tucker Colt Raulston; sister Shirley Crownover; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Preceded in death by his parents William Edgar and Dannie Kate Phillips Raulston; brother, Herbert Raulston; sister, Barbara Ann Payne.
