Edward Maurice Sexton's Obituary
Edward Maurice Sexton passed away on January 14, 2021 at age 63. He lived most of his life in Bridgeport, Alabama, and graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1976. He is survived by his daughter Jamie Carol Sexton of Chattanooga; his long time companion Jeannie Sexton of Stevenson; his father James L. Sexton of Bridgeport; his sister Karan Sexton Sims (Tom) of Henderson, Nevada; Niece Grace Sims and Nephew Drew Sims both of Nevada; Aunt Phyllis Ridley of Huntsville; Aunt Janet Sexton of Hixson, TN; 9 cousins and numerous friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Barbara Jean Payne Sexton in 2006; Grandparents Garland and Ara Payne; Grandparents Irving and Pauline Sexton; Aunts and Uncles Stanley and Nancy Walker, Paul and Bessie Payne, Elton and Nancy Easley, Silas and Alma Sparkman and Jim Ridley.
Eddie was a member of IBEW and worked as a welder and machine operator, with the bulk of his career spent at Arnold Engineering in Tullahoma, TN. He had recently retired. Eddie enjoyed watching sports and was a proud and avid Alabama Crimson Tide football fan.
Services will be closed to family and close friends only following strict Covid guidelines of masks and social distancing.
