Effie Mae Hughes Morris' Obituary
Effie Mae Hughes Morris, 92 of Stevenson, AL, died November 14, 2017 at her home. Effie was the daughter of the late Boon and Agnes Mills Hughes, born April 8, 1925 in Middletown, Ohio. She was a member of a Nazarene Church in Ohio.
Effie was preceded in death by her parents Boon Hughes and Agnes Bailey; son Douglas Creech, step-son Thomas Alfred Morris; and sister Juanette Adams.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years Marvin Edward Morris; daughter Susan Stiltz of Douglasville, GA; son Dennis Creech of GA; step-son Alvin Edward Morris of Dayton, TN; sister Jerry Chapman of Mt. Sterling, KY; 7 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 16, 12-2 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson. The Funeral Service will follow at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Bill Cross. Interment will be in Stevenson City Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
