Elizabeth Shrader Wells, 88 of East Ridge, TN and formerly of Stevenson, AL, passed away February 28, 2012 at her home. Judith Elizabeth was the daughter of the late William McKinley and Ada Blevins Shrader born February 24, 1924 in Stevenson, AL. She was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in the Waves as a Photographer during WWII. She was a retired business owner in Stevenson operating Wells Junction Service Station for 25 years and The Flower Box Florist of 10 years. Elizabeth was a member of Stevenson First United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star #321 in Cordova, AL, and Democratic Women's Club.
Besides her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years Cecil Macklin Wells, son Wallace Wells; brothers: George L. and Roy C. Shrader.
She is survived by her daughter Jann Wells and friend Donna Harmon both of Rossville, GA; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 3-9 PM CT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be Thursday, March 1, at 2 PM CT at the funeral home chapel officiated by the Avalon Hospice Chaplain Don Sapp. Interment and Military Honors will be at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, AL.
