Elmous Farmer, 84 of the Long Island Community in Bryant, AL, died April 8, 2015 at his home.
Franklin Elmous was the son of the late Theodore Roosevelt and Ruby Pearl Green Farmer born August 11, 1930 on Sand Mountain in Alabama. He had been a construction brick mason and heavy equipment operator.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Annie Juanita Walraven Farmer; siblings: Alice Lee, Dallas Lee, Pete, Laverne, Bell, Bill, and Delmous.
Survivors include his son Robert Franklin "Frankie" (Helen) Farmer of South Pittsburg, TN; grandsons Brandon (Jenny) Farmer, Derek Farmer all of Long Island Community; great-grandchildren: Hannah, Braydon, Chassie, Ryan and Zane; sister Betty Ruth Campbell of New Hope, TN; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Thursday, 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral service will be held Friday, April 10, at 2 PM CDT in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Harris Chapel Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
