Emma Dean Morris Castle, of Bridgeport, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at the age of 85. She was surrounded by family at Creekside Assisted Living in Murfreesboro, TN, where she and her late husband, Marion H. Castle, had lived since October 2012.
Mrs. Castle was born in Bridgeport, AL on May 6, 1930. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marion H. Castle; parents, Mary Jerrusha Vinson Morris and John Grady Morris, Sr.; sister, Mary Ruth Morris Coats Walker (James Nolan "Toodley" Coats, Sr. and Charles R. "Dickie" Walker); brother, John Grady Morris, Jr. (Linda Morris); nephews, James Nolan Coats, Jr., and Grady Jack Morris.
Survivors include: daughter, Myron Marcella (James) Harmon of Chattanooga, TN; son, Marion Wade (Jenise) Castle of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren: Kimberly Thompson (Rich) Ellis of Arlington, VA, Lauren Castle (Chandler) Tygard of Bridgeport, AL, Luke and Landon Castle of Murfreesboro, TN; great-grandchildren: Mason and Abigail Ellis, and baby Tygard on the way; brother, Charles Walker Morris, Sr. of Bridgeport, AL, along with many extended family members.
Mrs. Castle was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Bridgeport, AL, serving in the choir, and a long-time member of The Order of Easter Star, Bridgeport, AL. She worked at South Pittsburg Municipal Hospital as Assistant Administrator until she retired.
Her Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church in Bridgeport, AL, on Sunday, September 27th, at 3 PM CDT; visitation will precede the ceremony from 1-3 PM at the Church. Interment will be at Rocky Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers: Walker Morris, Donald Blansett, Matt Blansett, Tommy Rector, JG Morris, Charlie Morris, Rob Crabtree, Wayne Castle, Chris Castle, Billy Ray Massey (honorary) and Leon Castle, Reverend Drew Gay of Belle Aire Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, TN, will officiate.
