Felix McAllister, 66 of Stevenson, Alabama, died October 18, 2013 in the VA Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Felix was the son of the Horace Felix and Dorothy Jane Arnold McAllister born January 8, 1947 in Jackson County, Alabama. Felix was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He had worked at Avondale and Shaw Carpet Mill. Mr. McAllister was a member of Helton Chapel Church. He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother Dorothy McAllister; daughter Shoyna (Jonathan) Alexander; grandchildren: Haydn and Holly Alexander; brother Gary (Carolyn) McAllister; sister Julia McAllister; and special friend and mother of Shoyna, Nancy Shoemake; all of Stevenson, Alabama.
Visitation will be Sunday, 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, Alabama. The funeral service will be Monday, October 21, at 2 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. George Warr. Military Honors provided by Sequatchie Valley Veterans Honor Guard and Interment will be in the Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, Alabama. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
