Frances Ballard Carroll, 90 of Stevenson, AL died September 19, 2013 at Highlands Medical Center in Scottsboro, AL. Frances was the daughter of late Luther Martin and Nancy Ann Ferguson Carroll born October 21, 1922 in Stevenson, AL. Frances was a Stevenson High School Graduate Class of 1942. She had worked as a postal clerk at the Stevenson Post Office for 35 years. Mrs. Carroll was a member of First Baptist Church. Frances loved working in her yard, in her flowers and she was a loving mother, devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.
Besides her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Elbert Carroll.
Survivors include her daughter Sharon (Ken) Patterson of Stevenson, AL; grandsons: Joe (Lara) Patterson of Nashville, TN, Jeff (Heather) Patterson of Carlsbad, NM; great-grandchildren: Alex, Keller, Bevin and Fisher; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The famly will receive friends Sunday 1-3 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL with the Graveside Service beginning at 3 PM at Stevenson City Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
