Frances Reed McMahan Crouch, 78 of Stevenson, AL, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation in Bridgeport, AL. Frances was the daughter of the late Erskin and Virginia Rudder McMahan born August 12, 1933 in Stevenson, AL. Frances was a graduate of Stevenson High School. She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church where she played the piano for years, was the church clerk for 29 years, member of the CWU and director and founder of Kool Kids Puppet Ministry.
Besides her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her brother George McMahan, sister Sylvia Cline, and sister and best friend Addie Rogers.
Survivors include her daughter Carlene (Charlie) Coffman of Bridgeport, AL; two special nieces Kristina Rogers and Shannon Rogers; special great-nephew Colby Brown of Stevenson, AL; step-granddaughters Kristy Coffman and Amber Coffman of Hollywood, AL; siblings: Hattie Ruth Harden of Guild, TN, Linda Dempsey of Ringgold, GA, Ann (Kenneth) Colbaugh of Harrison, TN, Rudder (Catherine) McMahan of Jasper, TN; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Sunday, 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be Monday, May 14, at 1 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Brandon Evans. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
