Frances Lasseter Thomas, 87 of Bridgeport, AL died October 15, 2008 at the Hospice Unit of Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. She was a loving mother and a devoted wife and a member of Edgefield Union Church.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Tracy Washington Thomas; parents Benjamin Harrison and Mayme Ellen Willis Lasseter; sister Dot Adams and great-grandson Cyle David Clark.
Survivors include: daughter Sherry (Tom) Donnell, Three sons: Doug (LInda) Thomas, Paul (Sherry) Thomas, Steve (Shelia) Thomas; 11 grandchildren: Betty Shearouse, Bill (Laura) Donnell, Lisa (Randy) Ball, Tracy Thomas, Charity (Tony) Richards, Misty Thomas, Holly (Brian) Clark, Patrick (Berkley) Thomas, Angie (J.J.) Arnold, Celena (Dan) Banks and Kelly Thomas. She is also survived by 14 great-grandsons; 1 great-granddaughter; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport on Thursday from 3-9 PM CDT. Services will be held at the funeral home Friday, October 17, at 2 PM CDT officiated by Rev. Jim Bernard and Rev. Jim Thomas followed by interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
