Mrs. Frances Roach Worley's Obituary
Frances Roach Worley, 88, died peacefully on October 11, 2025 at Legacy Park Health Care in Knoxville, Tennessee. She is at peace and fully healed now, in heaven. She was born in Jackson County, Alabama on March 4, 1937, where she lived until dementia took away her ability to care for herself.
Frances graduated from Jackson County High School in 1955. During her life, she was a farm wife, mother, homemaker, seamstress and retired from Colonial Bank in 2002 after working there 25 years. To her grandchildren she was Grandma but she insisted that her great grandchildren call her “Franny” because she said anything else made her sound really old! She enjoyed scrap booking and working with the Sewing Circle at her church, making lap quilts for Jackson County Preschoolers and missions. She was a lifelong member of the Baptist faith and a dedicated member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Karen Bouton (Richard), of Knoxville, son, Greg Worley (Debbie), White Pine, Tennessee, grandchildren Chris Bouton (Amanda), Jacksonville, Florida, Katrina Whipple (Adam), Knoxville, Tennessee, Matthew Worley, Knoxville, Tennessee, Courtney Worley, Hendersonville, North Carolina, great grandchildren Ben Bouton, Aaron Bouton, Corban Whipple, Naomi Whipple, Ruth Whipple, Nehemiah Whipple, John David Bouton and Hannah Bouton. She is also survived by a very special nephew, Myron Farr and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband J.B. Worley, her parents Myron L. and Janie Precise Roach, and each of her siblings Starkey Roach, Roy Lynn Roach, Jean Garner, W.C. Roach and Evelyn Farr.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 18, 11 a.m. CDT at Rudder Funeral Home, Scottsboro with services following at 1:00. Burial will be in Pinehaven Memorial Cemetery, Hollywood. Bro. Matt Helms and Bro. Robert Gamble will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to her church to honor her memory. Calvary Baptist Church, 305 County Park Road, Scottsboro, Alabama 35758.
