Mr Fred J. German Jr.'s Obituary
Fred J. German, Jr., 79 of Woodville, Al (formerly of Iselin, NJ) passed away in his home on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 following a long battle with cancer, He had been employed at GTE, Palco and BST in Huntsville prior to retirement. He was a member of the St Jude Catholic Church in Scottsboro and The Fred J. German, Sr. Knights of Columbus Council # 7679.
Mr. German was preceded in death by parents, Helen & Fred J. German, Sr. and sisters Viola (Bob) Warner & Helen (Jack) Kuhne. He is survived by wife, the former Charlotte Wehrle, brother, John German; children; Charlotte Anne German, Fred (Beverly) German, IV and Timothy (Kim) German; grandchildren; Amy (Todd) Ridgeway, Thaddeus & Ethan Payton, Denise Marie German and Janie German; great-grandchildren; Alex Gracie and Owen Ridgeway and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. German was an avid amateur (ham) radio operator and in lieu of flowers he asked that donations be made to ARRL (American Radio Relay League) Education & Technology Program Fund(https://www.arrl.org/arrl-donation-form). Please specify as in memory of N4TRI.
Visitation will be at Rudder Funeral Home, Scottsboro on Thursday, June 26, from 4:00 to 6:30 pm, wit rosary at 6:30 and service beginning at 7:00 pm. There will be a private burial.
