Garry Wayne Summers, 68 of Bridgeport, AL, died July 27, 2016 at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation where he resided the past couple years. Garry was the son of the late Arthur Arnold and Levada Dorene Allison Summers born February 28, 1948 in Stevenson, AL. He retired from Mead Paper Mill as a water truck driver.
Besides his parents, Garry was preceded in death by his son James Wayne Summers; brother Arthur Arnold Summers, Jr; grandparents: Laury and Nell Allison, Price and Polly Summers.
Survivors include his daughters: Becky Summers, Christie (Josh) McCarron all of Griffith, IN; grandchildren: Amanda, Ashley, Hunter, Kyle, Kailey; great-grandchildren: Wyatt and Emma; siblings: Linda (Jerry) Clark of Pisgah, AL, James Ray Summers of Jacksonville, FL; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Saturday, 4-9 PM CDT and Sunday 12-2 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The Funeral Service will be Sunday, July 31, at 2 PM CDT in the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Nathan Blevins.
