Gary Wayne "38 Special" Mince, 54 of Stevenson, AL, died April 8, 2010 at Huntsville Hospital.
Gary was the son of the late James William and Ella Catherine Mallugen Mince, born April 1, 1956 in Mattoon, IL. He served in the U.S. Army in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri from 1977-1980. Mr. Mince worked as a truck driver for Holt Trucking.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Leo, Bill and an infant brother.
Gary is survived by his wife of 33 years Charlette Ann Winkleblack Mince; son Jim (Heather) Winkleblack of Mattoon, IL; daughter Christy (Jim) Dillow of Effingham, IL; five grandchildren: Ashlyn, Alyson, Lucas, Kaitlyn, and Jamie; several nieces, nephews and cousins all of IL and his best friend Gentry Hawkins.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 10, from 5-7 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. No formal funeral service will be held. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
