Mr. George Thomas Evans' Obituary
Mr. George Thomas Evans 70 of Bridgeport, Alabama passed away on Sunday June 7, 2026 at his home following a extended illness. George retired from Shaw where he worked as a machine fixer and was a seventeen year Veteran of the Alabama National Guard. George is survived by his wife Martha, two sons Thomas ( Fascenda) Evans, and Greg Evans, one daughter Jennifer Evans, five grandchildren Chris, Jalan, Thomeshia, Zada, and Thomas, Jr. and two great grandchildren Nalayah Evans and Nyanna Evans. Five Brothers George Fennell, Ed Fennell, Ray Fennell, Sam Evans, Rickey Evans, Steve Evans and John Evans, Five sisters Lina Walker, Brenda Hardric, Priscilla Robinson, Essie Sims and Ella Jean Raglan; and several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and cousins. George was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Lula Pearl Evans and Papa and Mama George and Juanita Fennell, grandson Isaiah Evans, Mother and Father-in-law Will and Cassie McDonald.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday June 10, 2026 at the Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro from 6 PM until 8 PM with funeral services at 1 PM on Thursday June 11, 2026 from the chapel of Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro, Alabama with Bro. Donald Moore officiating with burial following in the Old Baptist Cemetery in Hollywood, Alabama.
