Gladys Inez Allen's Obituary
Gladys Inez Allen 90, passed away today, Monday, July 28, 2014, at her home after an extended illness . Gladys was born and raised in Scottsboro, married Hardy J. Cox and resided in Chattanooga, TN for 32 years . Gladys then moved back to Scottsboro and married Raymond Martin. After he passed away she married Thomas Allen.
Visitation is 5-8 PM, Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Rudder Funeral Home, Scottsboro, AL
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Rudder Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Ed Herring will officiate.
Graveside and interment will be at 1:30 PM(Central Time), Lakewood Memory Gardens West, 3509 Cummings Road, Chattanooga TN. 37419
Gladys is survived by son, Hardy “Wally” Cox of Scottsboro; brother, J.B. (Janette) Lemons of Lafayette, GA; sisters, Vina Harris of Chattanooga, TN and Grace (Don) Langley of Michigan, and numerous grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Hardy J. Cox, son, William Charles “Bill” Cox, husband, Raymond Martin, husband Thomas Allen, sisters, Dis Dickerson, Joyce Lemons Thompson, and Margaret Smith.
Gladys was a member of Goosepond Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
