Glaston Fletcher Rousseau, 95 of Kimball, Tennessee formerly of Bridgeport, Alabama, died October 24, 2013. Glaston was the son of the late David Ira and Evie L. Wilburn Rousseau born November 3, 1917 in Paint Rock, Alabama. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII from Nov. 7, 1941-July 9, 1945. He was a Sergeant in Company A 17th Armored Engineer. Mr. Rousseau was a member of Bridgeport Church of Christ and had been a farmer.
Besides his parents, Glaston was preceded in death by his siblings: Oma McCowan, Mildred Brewer, Sarah Bridges, Carl Rousseau and O.W. Rousseau.
Survivors include: wife Phyllis Jewell Cooper Rousseau; children: Charles (Kay) Rousseau of Whitwell, TN, Debbie (Ronnie) Joyner of Bridgeport, AL, Joy (Roger) Cagle of Kimball, TN; grandchildren: Kristin (Clayton) Seale of Bridgeport, AL, Jillian Swafford of Cookeville, TN, Kim (Mark) Henderson of Chicago, IL; great-grandchildren: William Walker Seale, Tucker Andrew Seale, Christopher Henderson, Tiffany Henderson; great-great-grandchildren: Riley Hinderson, Kailey Henderson; and other relatives.
Visitation will be Friday 4-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral service will be Saturday, October 26, at 2 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Randy Smith and Bro. John O'Neal. Interment will be at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, AL with military honors provided by Sequatchie Valley Veterans Honor Guard. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
