Glenn David "Pops" Adkins, 66 of Sequatchie, TN, formerly of Guild, TN, died January 29, 2015 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Glenn was the son of the late Melvin Horace and Betty Jean Petty Adkins born November 24, 1948 in Hoenwald, TN. "Pops" was a "Jack of All Trades".
Survivors include his 11 children: Glenn David Adkins II of Sewanee, TN, Dawn Marie Miller of Sewanee, TN, George Daniel Adkins of Toledo, OH, William Melvin (Tina) Adkins of Sylvania, OH, Rachel Renee Nickels of Toledo, OH, Amanda Kay Fields of Guild, TN, Vanessa Maureen (Chris) Swan of Sequatchie, TN, Shanna Jo (Mike) Adkins of Sequatchie, TN, Chad David (Samantha) Adkins of Swanton, OH, Elisha Miranda (Larry) Adkins of Sequatchie, TN, Kyle Dean (Catherine) Adkins of Toledo, OH; 46 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings: Clyde Darrell Adkins of Sequatchie, TN, Wanda Sue (Junior) Keith of Cookeville, TN, Sam Grinder of Cookeville, TN, Mildred E. Grinder of Red Bank, TN; and other relatives.
Visitation will be Sunday, 5-9 PM CT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 2, at 2 PM CT in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Whitwell Memorial Cemetery in Whitwell, TN. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
