Granville Jackson Rowe, 87 of Bridgeport, AL died June 13, 2008 at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation in Bridgeport, AL. He was a WWII Army Veteran, worked of Southern Railroad for a time and was a retired heavy-equipment operator at TVA Widows Creek Steamplant. He was a member of Bridgeport Church of Christ, Bridgeport Masonic Lodge and Alhambra Shrine.
Mr. Rowe was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years Jean Timberlake Rowe; parents James Wiley and Hessie Burchette Rowe; brother James Rowe.
Granville is survived by his children: Donald J. (Diane) Rowe of Bridgeport, James V. (Eileen) Rowe of Sumter, SC, Patsy R. (Conrad "Tooter") Moss of Bridgeport; grandchildren: Scott Moss of Bridgeport, Steve (Meghan) Moss of South Pittsburg, TN, Benny (Sandy) Moss, Adam Rowe, Alex Rowe all of Bridgeport, Jason Rowe, Benjamin Rowe, Daniel Rowe, Catherine Rowe all of SC; great-grandchildren: Gavin Rowe, Clay Moss, Cameron Moss, Chelsea Moss, Malinda Cannon; brother John F. ( Bonnie) Rowe of Bridgeport; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Saturday 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. Tlhe funeral will be Sunday, June 15, at 3 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Dr. Randy Smith followed by interment at Rocky Springs Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL.
