Helen West Brown, 89 of Stevenson, AL died November 17, 2008 at Grandview Medical Center in Jasper, TN. She was a member of Church of Christ in Stevenson, AL and had worked as a winder operator at Avondale Carpet Mill for approximately 30 years.
Martha Helen Brown was preceded in death by her parents Jimmy and Mae Morris West; husbands: William Carroll and Lester Barnes; brother James West.
She is survived by her husband David Frank Brown of Stevenson, AL; son Glenn (Linda) Carroll of Stevenson, AL; grandchildren: Teri (Roger) Jones, Jeri Carson both of Scottsboro, AL, Mark Carroll of Huntsville, AL; Four great-grandchildren; Three great-great-grandchildren; step-children: Joyce (Frank) Busby of Chattanooga, TN, Robert Brown of Stevenson, AL, Joe Brown of Scottsboro, AL, George Brown of TN, Linda Gibson of Bridgeport, AL; half-sisters: Louise Rowe of Bridgeport, AL and Una Kate Short of MO; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 5-9 PM CST at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral will be Wednesday, November 19, at 11 AM CST at the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. David Smith followed by burial at Stevenson City Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
