Herbert "Buck" Wilson Sanders Jr's Obituary
Herbert “Buck” Wilson Sanders, Jr., aged 91 of Wannville, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 at Highlands Medical Center. The son of the late Herbert Sanders, Sr and Tressie Teeters, he was a lifelong resident of Jackson County Mr. Sanders who as a young man served in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). Buck was always a farmer but he would also spend time in his life as a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl Bellomy Sanders; sons, Larry (Brenda) Sanders of Scottsboro, and Benford Sanders of Wannville; grandchildren, Shelly (Chris) Johnson of Chelsea, AL, and Amanda Sanders of Scottsboro; Great-grandchildren, Brenly Faith & Crace Adelyn of Scottsboro, Brother, Billy Jack Sanders of Scottsboro; sisters, Josephine rogers of Tuscaloosa, AL, Eula B. (J.L.) Gant of Dutton, AL, Marie Haywood of Rainsville, AL, and Mary (Harold) Higdon of Harrogate, TN; along with several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lillian Saratt.
Visitation will be Monday, September 28, 2015 from 6—9 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 11 AM from Rudder Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roy Venable officiating. Interment will follow at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
