Ms. Hiram Frances Lee's Obituary
Ms. Hiram Frances Lee, a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, July 14th, 2022 at age 98. She was born March 27th, 1924, to James L. Lee and Louie Swafford Lee. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bob and her sisters Dot, Helen, and Mattie. Frances is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She outlived all but a handful of friends.
The youngest of four surviving siblings, Frances cared for her widowed mother in the family home for decades. For most of her adult life she worked in retail at J. R. Loyd & Sons Department Store in Bridgeport, and then at Loyd's in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. Her help and counsel was much appreciated by customers at both locations.
Frances was a lifetime member of Bridgeport United Methodist Church. She was an active member and a leader of the local chapter of Order of the Eastern Star.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, July 17th, 2022 beginning at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery of Bridgeport, Alabama.
