Ilar Mae Maynor Allen, 74 of Flat Rock, Alabama, died August 29, 2009 at her home. She was a retired seamstress with Buster Brown Co. and was a member of Sulpher Springs Baptist Church in Flat Rock.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband William Allen; parents Loomis Orville and Ruthie Ruby Sanders Maynor; siblings: Charlie, Clyde, Jessie, James and Anna Ruth Maynor.
Ilar leaves behind her daughters: Martha (Lowell) Mitchell of Bremman, AL, Ruthie Allen and Sheila Stubblefield both of Flat Rock; grandchildren: Lance Ollis, Shasta Evans and Breezie Haney; great-grandchildren: Morgan Rogers and Cassie Evans; siblings: John A. (Betty) Maynor of Hixson, TN, Judy Morgan of Stevenson, AL, Roy Paul (Jennie) Maynor of Stevenson, Mary Lou (James) Haney of Brownsboro, AL; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Monday, 10 AM - 9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be Tuesday, September 1, at 2 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Jim Hixson followed by burial at Sterne Cemetery in Stevenson, AL.
