Imogene McMahan Champion, 87 of Sewanee, TN and formerly of Stevenson, AL, died February 7, 2015. Imogene is the daughter of the late Robert Taylor and Bessie Hackworth McMahan born November 24, 1927 in Stevenson, AL. She was a retired spinner-twister with Avondale Carpet Mills.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of about 55 years, Jesse Elbert Champion; and her brother Jack.
Survivors include her son Jack (Julia) Champion of Sewanee, TN; 3 grandchildren: David (Denise) Champion of Hollywood, AL, Brandy Henson of Sewanee, TN, Brandon Champion of Frankfort, KY; 5 great-grandchildren: Hunter Henson, Cole Henson, Ezera Henson all of Sewanee, TN, Tylor Champion of Bristol, OH, Nevada Champion of Hollywood, AL.
Visitation will be Monday 5-9 at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, February 10, at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Paul King. Interment will be in Stevenson City Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
