Clyde Abney, 67 of Stevenson, AL, died May 27, 2016 at his home. James Clyde was the son of John and Mary Lee Owens Abney, born July 31, 1948 in Stevenson, AL. He was a logging truck driver and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Stevenson. His mother Mary Abney preceded him in death.
Survivors include: his father John Abney; wife Frankie Jean Wallace Abney; daughters: Connie (Leon) Wilson, Cindy North; step-children: Sharon Blizard, Kevin Blizard, James Rich, Erica Rich, Brandi Westmoreland; grandchildren: Matthew North, Joshua North, Steven North, Jr. Brent William Edwards, Brittany Rich, Ezra Rich, Ashlyn Blizard, Julie Blizard, Payton Club, Addy Skyles; siblings: Peggy (Robert) Brizendine, Donnie Abney, Michael (Sissy) Abney; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Saturday, 10 AM- 9PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be Sunday, May 29 at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Brandon Evans and Rev. Billy Rankin. Interment will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
