James Hugh Coble, 47 of Stevenson, AL, died January 18, 2013 in the Phillipines where he had been living. James was born February 8, 1965 in Waco, TX. He retired from the U.S. Navy after serving 22 years from 1988 to 2012. James had been stationed in Japan for many years.
He is survived by his mother Billye Ruth Owens Coble of Stevenson, AL; father James Thomas Coble, children: Lauren (Chris) Powell of Ft. Payne, AL, Jada Davidson of Round Rock, TX; step-children: Jace Davidson, Brad Davidson of TX; brothers: Richard Coble of Scottsboro, AL, Dwight (Sue) Coble of High Point, NC; 5 grandchildren: Kimberly and Allison Powell, Makayla, Landon and Ava Davidson.
Mr. Coble was preceded in death by his grandparents: Hugh and Marie Owens; James A. and Edna Coble.
The Rosary and Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 26, 6-8 PM CT at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in South Pittsburg, TN. The funeral will be held Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 10 AM CT at the church officiated by Father Mark Scholz. Naval Military Honors and Interment will be at the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1:30 PM CT (2:30 PM ET) on Wednesday.
