James "Dobbin" Crawford's Obituary
James Marvin "Dobbin" Crawford, 73 of Stevenson, AL, died May 13, 2017 at his home. James was the son of the late Lonnie Eugene and Willard Louise Seale Crawford born July 6, 1943 in Stevenson, AL. He was a graduate of Stevenson High School Class of 1962. Jim worked as a Tube Operator at Combustion Engineering and Alston Power for 35 years. "Dob" was a member of Stevenson Church of God. James and Jeannetta met in the 8th grade and were married for 54 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved the Lord with all his heart and soul and he lived it by the way he treated his family and others.
Mr. Crawford was survived by his wife Jeannetta Matthews Crawford; children: Nena Crawford Davis, Marc (Suzi) Crawford, Esther Crawford Harvey; grandchildren: A.J. Davis, Jake Davis, Cheyenne Harvey, Shayna Crawford, Michael Clements, Joshua Harvey, Jessica Horner, Tony Shankles, Shawn Shankles; 5 great-grandchildren; brother Wayne Crawford and special family friend Bruce Robinson.
Visitation will be Monday, 10 AM-9 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 16, at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Bolivar Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
