James Edward Evans, 79 of Tifton, GA passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at Golden Living Center. His funeral service will be held at 11 AM CDT Monday, October 3, 2016 at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL officiated by Rev. Buster McCulley. The family will receive friends Sunday 5-9 PM CDT at the funeral home. Burial will be in Longacre Cemetery in Stevenson, AL.
James was the son of the late Sam Henry Evans and Margaret Evelyn Parker Evans born June 16, 1937 in Stevenson, AL. He was also preceded in death by his wives Pat L. Evans, Mary Sandifer Evans. Mr. Evans retired from Bridgeport Stove Foundry.
Survivors include his children: Jerry and Cindy Conway, Cleve and Alice Winser, Derrell and June Drawdy, Freddie Sandifer; several grandchildren; brothers Billy Evans of AL and Howard (Cheryl) Evans of TN; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
