Mr. James Robert Moore's Obituary
James Robert Moore was born November 9, 1956 to Elder John H. Moore and Bernice Moore of Hollywood, AL.
He was baptized at an early age at Shiloh P.B. Church. James joined the National Guard’s in the early 70’s. He loved to travel to the states such as Texas, New York, Michigan, Detroit, Chicago, Louisville, etc.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Cambell Moore; father, Elder John Howard Moore; sisters, Mary M. Moore and Lillie Nicholson Moore; and brother, John Howard Moore, Jr.
Days before his death he stated, “Bury me in my pajamas because I won’t be dead, I’ll be asleep”. He professed a revival of his mission to be on the battlefield for the Lord. He told many family members of his intention to rejoin Shiloh P.B. Church on Sunday, January 3, 2016, but God called him to his heavenly church not made by man’s hand. Brother James knew that this was not his home, and just like he traveled the States, he was just passing through on his journey to higher grounds.
James Robert Moore leaves behind to cherish his memory son, Brandon (Jessica) Edmonson; grandchildren, Allonzo Edmonson, Jadaya Edmonson and Brandon (Jacobi) Edmonson, Jr. all of Scottsboro; mother, Sarah Bernice Moore of Hollywood; sisters, Barbara Jean (Connie) Sexton of Chattanooga, TN, Forrestine Southerland of Hollywood, Brenda Dillard, Patsy Colquitte both of Scottsboro, Mini Lee (James) Matthews, Diane (Adam) Wilson, Darlene Moore, Annie Lee (Paul) Hutchins all of Stevenson; brother, Donald G.
