Mr. James Roger Napp's Obituary
Mr. James Roger Napp 80 of Hollywood, Alabama passed away at his home on Monday July 13, 2026. James was born in Louisiana, was a US Navy veteran enlisting on June 6, 1968 serving on Submarines reaching the rank of Machinist's Mate First Class and was Honorably discharged from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii in 1975. Then serving as a Minister in the First United Methodist and as a Hospice Chaplin until his retirement
James is survived by his wife Joyce, step sons Bill (Sharon) Wear, Charlie Wear, Pat (Ashley) Kennamer and Clay (Amiee) Kennamer. Nine grandchildren, nine Great Grandchildren and two Great Great Grandchildren; his sister Sharon (Ron) Adam,and brother Bob (Doran) Napp. James was preceded in death by his first Joan Lee Napp and
his parents Roy and Dorothy Napp.
The family will have a memorial service on Sunday July 26, 2026 at the Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro with visitation from 1pm until 2 pm and services to follow at 2 pm
with Rev. Cory Burns officiating. The family ask that in lieu of flowers memorials in memory of Jame be made to the Scottsboro First United Methodist Church Children and Youth at 1105 South Broad Street Scottsboro, Alabama 35768.
