Sending prayers to Mrs Jimmy and family during these difficult times. Mr and Mrs Jimmy (as my late mother Willo Dene referred to them) were long time family friends as well as we kids grew up with theirs. Our relationship with the pharmacy dates back to when my grandparents WW and Phoebe Horton did business there at McClellans. Mr Jimmy will always be remembered from simple times as a trusted pillar of the community , back when you could run a tab till payday and give service with a smile. He will be greatly missed.

I have so many fond memories of Jim when i was a young adult living in Bridgeport. I loved hanging out at MClellans Pharmacy, hanging out on their big back Porch, Friday night football games, and the Bicentennial fundraiser dances we enjoyed. I was the Methodist preacher’s Wife, Sallie Reeder and a teacher at the Elementary school. Jim i loved doing cantatas with at the church with the whole choir. We will all be up there singing in the heavenly choir one day soon! Save a seat for me. My love goes out to all the family who loved him well.

So sorry for your loss. Praying for you and your family. Jimmy Phillips was a great guy that you could ever meet. He would help you anyway that he could and was very friendly. It hurt me to my heart when he closed the drug store down. He will truly be missed

Spent my second and 3rd grade years as a yougster in Bridgeport and the Phillips were a big part of our lives. When I was 20 (He) Jimmy and (She Jimmie allowed me to stay in their basement while I was working in Bridgeport. A very special time. Got to know Barry and all of them again. A special Family. My family’s prayers and thoughts are with you all during this time.

I grew up calling them He Jimmy and She Jimmie. I thought that was their names until I got a little older. I have fond memories from attending church together and visiting in their home. I grew up in Fellowship Methodist Church where they attended. I’m sure I have pictures. I’ll look for some. She Jimmie, Brian and Barry I am so sorry for your loss! Prayers for all of you!
