James Earl "Greasy" Westmoreland, 58 of Bridgeport, AL, died March 8, 2014 at his home. James was the son of Earl Floyd and Frances Mildred Michalik Westmoreland born August 3, 1955 in Bridgeport, AL. He was a Bridgeport High School Graduate Class of 1973. Jimmy had worked as a heavy equipment operator with the City of Bridgeport. He retired after 23 years in the Alabama National Guard.
Mr. Westmoreland was preceded in death by his father Earl Floyd Westmoreland.
Survivors include his mother Frances Mildred Michalik Westmoreland; siblings: Larry (Kathy) of Hillsboro, TN, Carolyn Westmoreland of Soddy Daisy, TN, Jeff "Wally" (Rita) Westmoreland of Savannah, GA, John Earl Westmoreland of Bridgeport, AL; nieces: Dava Westmoreland, Jenny Boles, Devon Williams; 3 great-nieces; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, 1-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral will be 1 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel. Military Honors will be provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard at Old Baptist Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
