Dr. James N. Williams' Obituary
Dr. James Norris Williams, 67 of Hollywood, Al. passed away January 10, 2015. He
is survived by his wife Jeanne Roper Williams, and his children, Shelly(Bill) Parsons
of Birmingham,Jamie Williams, of Scottsboro, and Katie Williams of Atlanta, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Jo John Williams, Jr.
Dr. Williams was a 1965 graduate of Stevenson High School where he was an
All-State tackle on the high school football team and played in the Alabama-Mississippi
All Star game. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn
University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1972. In 1973, he opened Williams Animal Clinic
in Scottsboro, Alabama where he served the community for over 40 years.
Dr. Williams was a devoted husband and father. He was known by many for his
kind heart and generous spirit. In addition to his lifelong love of animals, Dr. Williams
was an avid Auburn football fan. He also enjoyed working on his farm and traveling to
warm climates.
The family will receive friends on Monday January 12, from 5pm until 8pm at the Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro, Al. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday January 13 at 11 Am form
the Chapel of Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro, Al. with Dr. Steve Screws officiating
burial will follow in the Stevenson City Cemetery.
