Mr. James "Jim" Enloe Pitt Jr.'s Obituary
James (Jim)Enloe Pitt, Jr. 88 of Scottsboro, died May 27, 2013 at Highlands Medical Center. He was a native of Paris, TN and a resident of Scottsboro for 53 years. Soon after moving to Scottsboro, Jim opened, “Jim Pitt’s Flowers”, which later became “Jim Pitt’s Gifts”,that he and his wife operated for 26 years.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Lipscomb Pitt, son, James E. (Beverly) Pitt III, of Auburn, AL, grandsons, James E. Pitt, IV and Jackson Edward Pitt. Sister, Doris P. Pitt of Ooltewah, TN, sister-in-law, Nada Pitt of Great Falls, Mt and Jane Pitt of Memphis, TN.
Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Grace Dillon Pitt, three brothers, Dumas C. Pitt, Jack D. Pitt and Paul R. Pitt.
Visitation: 12-2 PM, Thursday, May 30, 2013 at First United Methodist Church in Scottsboro
Funeral: Immediately after visitation at 2 PM, Thursday, May 30, 2013 at First United Methodist Church.
Dr. Steven A. Screws will officiate.
Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
