Jay Bryan Venable's Obituary
Jay Bryan Venable passed from this walk of life on April 6,2026 at his farm in Flat Rock, Alabama. Bryan was born on September 16,1962 to (the late) Charles A. Venable & Martha Tidwell Venable of Stevenson, AL. Additionally, Bryan was preceded in death by his brother, Greg Venable, Grandparents, John B. & Vennie Guinn Venable, Lid Venable, J.B. & Jessie Simpson Tidwell & Loyd Peters, spouse Dana Williams. Bryan is survived by his wife, Teressa Steele Venable, Sister, Lisa V. (Mickey) Parton, & his twin brother, John Bryce Wolf (Lee) Venable. A stepson, Justin (Veronica)Morfin and 2 step grands, Melody Haven and Khalessi (Khali) Morfin. One nephew, Wesley (Ashley) Parton and a niece, Maria Lee Venable (Matt) and a great nephew, David Parton.
Bryan graduated from Stevenson High School in 1982 where he served as team manager for Stevenson Panther Football. He loved fishing and biking and all the things outdoors. Bryan loved living the farm life and loved animals especially his beloved horse, Yancey. Bryan worked for Avondale/Shaw Industries for 29 years, where he was a machine tech. When Shaw plant closed in Stevenson, Bryan went to college at Northeast and was very proud of his accomplishments. From there he went to work for Maples Ind. where he spent the rest of his working career. Bryan became a Christian at a young age joined the First Baptist Church of Stevenson where he worshipped with his family. In recent years Bryan joined the congregation of the Welcome Way Methodist. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the church.
A visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 pm with a Memorial Service to follow on Sunday, April 19th at 3pm at Welcome Way Methodist Church in Stevenson. Bryan's final rest will be on his farm, near his barn& near the iron statue of his horse Yancey.
