Jennie Lee Morris, 84 of Stevenson, AL, died December 13, 2010 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Jennie is the daughter of the late John Michael and Myra Jane Sells Rogers, born June 13, 1926 in Gonce, Alabama. She had worked as a twister at Avondale Mills. Jennie was a member of Stevenson Church of Christ and the Order of Eastern Star.
Besides her parents, Jennie was preceded in death by her husband James Franklin Morris; daughter Joan Lovelady; siblings: John Rogers, Jr., Edgar Rogers and Reba Guess; and great-grandson Colby Dotson.
Survivors include: son Billy F. (Brenda) Morris of Stevenson, AL; grandchild Melina (Kevin) Wooten of GA; step-grandchildren: Bridgett (Jeff) Koehoorn, David (Yolanda) Dotson; great-grandchild Amaya Wooten; step-great-grandchildren: Justin (Hidie) Cottingham, Jody Cottingham, Chasity (Joey) Underwood, Tanner Cottingham, Corey Dotson; siblings: Joel (Margie) Rogers of South Pittsburg, TN, Betty Jo (Harold) Hughes of Bridgeport, AL; a host of other relatives.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 5-9 PM CT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral will be at 2 PM CT, Thursday, December 16, at the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. David Smith and Bro. Brian Guess. Interment will be at the Stevenson City Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
