Jennie Lou Ball Rich, 84 of Stevenson, AL, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation in Bridgeport, AL.
Jennie was the daughter of the late George Napoleon "G.N." and Emma Colston Ball born February 13, 1928 in Bridgeport, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Robert Carl Rich and great-grandson Wyatt Clayton Wills; sibilings: Alta Cookston, Lois Phillips, Mary Richardson, Harry Lee Ball, Ivan Ball, Bill Ball and Ruth Ball.
She was a homemaker known for her pinto beans and cornbread and never failed to feed a visitor. Jennie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She was a life-long member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church and WMU.
She is survived by her children: Jerry (June) Rich, Roger (Sindy) Rich of Stevenson, AL, Elizabeth (Billy Mack) Davis of South Pittsburg, TN, Doris (Gary) Wills of Florence, AL; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be 10 AM-9 PM Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be Thursday, Feb. 14, at 11 AM at the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Dean Johnson and Bro. Josh Myers. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
