Jerry Wayne Brooks, 64 of Bridgeport, AL, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. Jerry was the son of the late Edgar Thomas and Virginia Lee Rollins Brooks born November 24, 1951 in Bridgeport, AL. He was a graduate of South Pittsburg High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired boilermaker from the Chattanooga Local 454. Jerry was a member of First Baptist Church in Bridgeport and Bridgeport Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Joyce Brooks Coffman.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years Brenda McLemore Brooks; son Jerry (Michelle) Brooks, daughter Jenny Brooks; granddaughters: Kaitlyn. Kindal and Amber Brooks.
Visitation will be Friday 5-9 PM CT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 6, at 11 AM CT in the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Houston Thomas. Masonic Rites by Bridgeport Masonic Lodge. Interment will be in Rocky Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jerry Brooks to the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport or the Bridgeport Masonic Lodge. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
