Jerry Lee Garner, 69 of Stevenson, AL, died August 29, 2008 at his home. He worked as a logger and a farmer. He was a member of Roaches Cove Baptist Church and Tennessee Hunting Club.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Martin Elbert and Luna Elizabeth Rorex Garner; brother Eugene Garner; sister Ellie Mae Little.
He is survived by his wife Geneva Eakin Garner; daughters: Melissa (Jay) Moore and Lynn Garner; son Micheal Garner all of Stevenson; brothers: Roy Bedford Garner, Wendell (Darlean) Garner all of Stevenson; sisters: Carolyn (Clayton) Swearengin of Scottsboro, AL, Sadie (Billy) Miller of Stevenson, Dianne (Richard) Knight of Scottsboro, Evalean (Bobby) Parker of Fackler, AL; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Visitation will be Saturday 1-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral will be Sunday, August 31, at 3 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Randy Crawford and Rev. Allen Hallmark. Interment will be at Inglis Cemetery in Carnes, AL.
