Jessie Lee Arnold Ivey, 80 of Stevenson, AL, died December 12, 2014. Jessie was the daughter of the late Henry Thomas and Mamie Lee Hawkins Arnold born January 13, 1934 in Georgia. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Jessie is survived by her husband of 63 years John Douglas Ivey; children: Brenda (Dale) Creel, Deborah Talley, Jerry Ivey, Teresa Ivey; grandchildren: Adam (Alison) Creel, David (Amanda) Talley, Scott (Heather) Talley, John Paul (Ali) Creel, Jeremy W. Ivey; great-grandchildren: Audrey, Anna, and Adeline Creel, Drake, Braden, and Tyler Talley, Madison Carter, Harper and Jace Talley, Josiah and Maggi Creel, Sybil and Jeremiah Ivey; sisters: Anna (Billy) Isom, Kathleen (Lamar) Curvin, Juanita (Jim) Thornton, Patsy (Dan) Thornton, Marilyn (Bobby) Patterson; brothers: Otho (Doris) Arnold, Leon Arnold, James Arnold; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Ivey was preceded in death by her brothers: Henry T. Arnold, Jr and Eugene Arnold; sister Josephine Cook; grandson Stephen Dale Creel.
Visitation will be Saturday 4-9 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson. The funeral service will be Sunday, December 14, at 2 PM at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev . David Talley. Interment will be in Longacre Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
