Jimmie Darious McCoy, 81 of Stevenson, Alabama died January 16, 2010 at his home. He was the son of John Theodore and Eula Thornhill McCoy, born August 28, 1928 in Yucca, Alabama on the 1830's family homestead. He was a life-long farmer and retired from Revere Aluminum. He was a member of the Bolivar Masonic Lodge and Cahaba Shriners. Mr. McCoy was preceded in death by his wife Betty Caroline Nancarrow McCoy; his parents and brother John Emory McCoy. Jim is survived by his children: Ted (Becky) McCoy, Tim, Sue, Judy, Hilda, and Stan McCoy; grandchildren: Bett (John) Antes and Daniel McCoy all of Stevenson, AL; sisters: Hilda Crabtree, Dorothy (JoJohn) Williams all of Stevenson and Stella (Al) Houser of Ormond Beach, FL; brother-in-law George (Sylvia) Nancarrow; sisters-in-law Anita Olinger and Carole McCoy. Visitation will be Sunday 5-8 PM CST at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be 11 AM CST, Monday, January 18, at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Ron Namanny. Interment will be at Sterne Cemetery in Stevenson. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jim McCoy may be made to Sterne Cemetery in care of Doris Jane Arnold.
