Jimmy Wayne Guess, 60 of Stevenson, Alabama in the Cedar Switch Community, died September 15, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Jimmy worked as City of Stevenson Street Department Supervisor and was a member of Campbell's Chapel.
Mr. Guess was preceded in death by his father James Floyd Guess; daughter Angela Marlene Guess; daughter-in-law Jeri Guess; brother-in-law David McDonald.
He is survived by his mother Rita Faye McAllister Guess of Stevenson; wife of 33 years Shelia Ann Smith Guess of Stevenson; children: Ben Guess of Jasper, AL, Adam Guess of Stevenson, Matt (Summer) Guess of Stevenson, Makisha Suddath of Bridgeport, AL; grandchildren: Jordan, Houston and Danika Suddath, Mackenzie, Kobe and Logan Guess, Abram Guess; siblings: Johnny (Brenda) Guess of Birmingham, AL, Linda McDonald of Stevenson, Randy Guess of Trenton, GA, Debra (Ricky) Weeks of Jasper, AL, Andy (Nancy) Guess of Hollywood, AL; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral will be Thursday, September 17, at 2 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Jerry Maynor followed by burial at Longacre Cemetery.
