Jo John Williams, Jr., 88 of Stevenson, AL, died May 28, 2014 in Huntsville Hospital.  He was the only son of the late Jo John and Mamie Cameron Williams, born September 29, 1925 in West Point, MS.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy "Dot" Mae McCoy Williams.
Survivors include his son James (Jeanne) Williams of Hollywood, AL; grandchildren: Shelley (Bill) Parsons of Birmingham, AL, Jamie Williams of Scottsboro, AL, Katie Williams of Atlanta, GA; other relatives and friends.
Jo John was a Stevenson High School Graduate; served in the U.S. Coast Guard and WWII Merchant Marines.  He was a member of:   Stevenson Cumberland Presbyterian Church, honored for over 40 years service with Alabama Farmers Co-op State Board, Jackson County Farmers Federation; Jackson County Cattlemen's Association; First Southern State Bank Board of Directors, Co-Bank (Nation's First Agricultural Credit Bank); Federal Reserve Bank Advisory Board; MFA Oil Company; Jackson County Consolidated Farm Service Agency Committeeman; Masonic Lodge; Order of Eastern Star; Woodsman of the World and in 1991 he received the Jackson County Farm-City Service to Agriculture Award.
Visitation will be Friday, May 30, 12 noon until 2 pm at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL.  The Funeral Service will follow immediately at 2 pm in the chapel officiated by Bill Parsons, Tim McCoy, and Rev. Perry Whitaker.  Interment will be in Stevenson City Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Jo John Williams, Jr., to the Stevenson Cumberland Presbyterian Church.   www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
