Jo Ann Lankford went home to be with the Lord on March 26, 2009 at the Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.
Jo Ann was born January 27, 1955 to Eugene and Para Lee Lankford in Stevenson, Alabama.
She was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Stevenson, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by grandparents: Mr. Robert Allison and Ms. Hannah Joiner Allison and Henry and Clara Lee Lankford.
She leaves to cherish her memory: mother Para Lee Lankford, father Eugene Lankford of Stevenson, AL.; son Courtney (Le'Lany) Lankford of Chattanooga, TN; brothers: Toney Eugene Lankford, Kenneth Lankford of Stevenson, AL; grandson Jaden Cameron Lankford of Chattanooga, TN; aunts: Ms. Margie Wellington of Stevenson, AL, Ms. Odella Wisdom of Huntsville, AL; uncle Mr. Tommy (Mildred) Lankford of Chicago, IL; nieces, nephews, cousins, devoted friends and special people.
The wake will be held Saturday, 6-7 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral will be Sunday, March 29, at 2 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Randy Jacks and Rev. Charles Cobb. Interment will be at Stevenson Community Cemetery.
