Betty Joan Crane Bevel, 80 of Bridgeport, Alabama passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016. Joan was the daughter of the late Willie Glen and Lunda Stephens Crane, born December 30, 1935 in Paden, Mississippi. Mrs. Bevel was a retired Purchasing Agent with Tennessee Valley Authority in Chattanooga, Tennessee and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport where she served as organist for 54 years.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Bevel was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John William Bevel.
Mrs. Bevel is survived by her son, John Glen Bevel of Bridgeport; grandchildren: Corey Glen (Keldon) Bevel of Waldorf, Maryland, Christian William Bevel and Cassidy Lanette Bevel both of Bridgeport.
The Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 27 at 2 PM CST at the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport with Bro. Houston Thomas, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends 3-8 PM CST, Wednesday at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport and Thursday 12-2 at the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
