Elder John Howard Moore, Sr., was born January 6, 1926 to the late John Henry Moore and Minnie Wellington of Hollywood, AL. He departed this life on August 22, 2012 at his home in Hollywood, AL
He was a member of Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church in Hollywood.
Elder John H. Moore, Sr. was united on Holy Matrimony with Bernice Fennell on April 1, 1944. To this union 13 children were born.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a very special and dedicated wife, Sarah Bernice Moore and ten devoted children, Bobbie (Connie) Sexton of Chattanooga, Teen., Forrestine Sutherland, Hollywood, Al., Minnie (James) Matthews, of Stevenson, Al, Brenda Dillard, of Scottsboro, AL., Patsy (John) Colquitt of Hollywood, Annie (Paul) Hutchins of Stevenson, Diane (Adam) Wilson, of Stevenson, and Darlene Moore, of Hollywood, AL
Two son; James (Brenda) Moore of Scottsboro, AL, Donald (Queenie) Moore of Bridgeport, AL. Forty-two grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Ella Evans of Bridgeport, Al., A host of nephews, nieces and other relations.
He is preceded in death by three children, John H. Moore, Jr., Mary M. Moore, and Lillie Nicholson
Moore, five brothers and two sisters.
