John Will Thompson, 55 year-old - resident of Stevenson, AL died Monday, June 29, 2009 at his home. He had worked as a logger and a mechanic and had attended Campbell's Chapel.
Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his parents Dewitt and Eunice Odell Jenkins Thompson.
He is survived by his children: Angela (William) Guess of Stevenson, Pamela Thompson (Craig Guess) of Bridgeport, and Zakaree Thompson of Stevenson; grandchildren: Sherry Thompson, Ashley Hutchins, Edward Thompson and John Will Thompson II; great-grandchildren: Aidan Morris and Ethan Thompson; Siblings: Jimmy (Donna) Thompson of Stevenson, Carolyn (Fred) Rodgers of Fackler, Jack Thompson of Stevenson, Faye (Carl) Atkins of Bridgeport, Sarah Thompson of Clearwater, FL, Joyce (J.D.) Shafer of Chattanooga, TN, and Gary "Buddy" Thompson of Bridgeport; and a host of other relatives.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 2-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in BRIDGEPORT, AL. The funeral will be Thursday, July 2, at 2 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
