John "P-Nut" Wilkerson's Obituary
John Willie "P-Nut" Wilkerson, 84 of Stevenson, AL, died January 11, 2020 at Highlands Medical Center in Scottsboro, AL. Visitation will be Monday, 6-8 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, January 14, at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Bill Stone. Interment will be in Stevenson City Cemetery.
"P-Nut" was a Stevenson High School Graduate Class of '53. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps 54-56 and was an Auburn University Graduate Class of '59. John married Nancy Carolyn Gamble September 17, 1959. He had been a pharmacist at Stevenson Drugs Store in downtown Stevenson for many years.
Survivors include his sons: Jeffrey Scott Wilkerson and John Steven (Benji) Wilkerson; grandchildren: Connor Scott Wilkerson, John Colby Wilkerson, Gracie Hannah Wilkerson; brother Wayne (Nancy) Wilkerson; niece Leigh Jacks and nephew Patrick Wilkerson.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Nancy Gamble Wilkerson; parents William Herman and Myrtle Belle Matthews Wilkerson.
