Johnnie Hughes Rowland, 93 of Bridgeport, AL died March 26, 2010 at The Bridge at South Pittsburg, TN.
Johnnie was the daughter of the late Meredith and Florence Johnson Hughes born December 16, 1916 at Cameronsville, AL. She was a member of the South Pittsburg Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Johnnie loved spending her time cooking, and helping others.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Horace Morgan Rowland and several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Rowland is survived by her children: James (Helen) Rowland and Wanda (David) Williams all of Bridgeport, AL.; grandchildren: Greg (Renea) Williams of Jacksonville, FL, Charlene (Kevin) Foshee of Bridgeport, Susan (David) Smith of Stevenson, AL, Patti (Walker) Morris of Stevenson; great-grandchildren: Heather (Russell) Mabe of Stevenson, Seth and Brock Foshee of Bridgeport, Madison and Maci Morris of Stevenson; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL.and Saturday at the South Pittsburg Church of Christ from 1-2 PM. The funeral will be Saturday, March 27, at 2 PM CDT at South Pittsburg Church of Christ officiated by Dr. David Smith and Bro. Bill Helm. Interment will be in the Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, TN.
